I want to send you a netflix friends invitation. Sadly, I've lost your email address. pls email me at gothchiq@yahoo.com and I'll re-save it to my yahoo addresses. Then I can use the address to send you a netflix friends invite!

Yeah: Wasabi!
We at work laughed sooo hard at times, which is very unusual.

Must-see movies, in absolutely no order:

Shaun of the Dead
Dark City
The Truman Show

More if I think of 'em...

Shaun of the Dead

Added.

Dark City

I'd seen that one in the movies, and we just watched it over the weekend thanks to NetFlix. We also watched the commentary track by Roger Ebert, which was very good.

The Truman Show

I need to check with the guys to see if they've caught that yet.

Thanks for all the suggestions!

I recommend The Legend of Suryothai
Chen Kaige's The Emperor and the Assassin
anything by Akira Kurosawa
Bubba Ho-tep
Solaris, the Original, not the remake..

That's all for now...I have way too many recommendations for this spot.

Thanks! I'd already had Solaris in the queue, and added the remake to "compare and contrast". After all, it doesn't cost us much!

trying to avoid just my typical list of faves--

Eclectic list: Kinsey, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Ghost World, Finding Neverland, School of Rock, I Heart Huckabees (odd duck that), Better Than Chocolate, any later John Waters films, ummm, I'm still thinking...

Re: trying to avoid just my typical list of faves--

I really liked School of Rock.
I swear that I used to know people like Jack Black!
